MAKEUP AT MEN'S FASHION WEEK 2025: BACK TO BASICS
Select Ishtar
Milan Fashion Week has gifted us unforgettable moments, timeless collections, and captivating visuals. Despite being a show set aside for the masculine category, brands like Charles Jeffrey Loverboy or Doublet have proposed risks in makeup and styling. However, for this first week, the focus was on highlighting the basics to enhance masculinity.
In a behind-the-scenes look to promote Dolce&Gabbana Beauty, the brand shared the makeup process for the models: a routine that highlights the natural glow of the skin, defined eyebrows, finely tinted lips, and the pronunciation of the jawline and cheekbones.
Subtle and warm tones, combined with the strategic application of highlighter directed at the center of the forehead, under the eyes, and on the chin, were the finishing touch that creates the illusion of an elongated face. This, accompanied by a pronounced contour that runs down the jawline, highlights the cheekbone and visually slims the face.
The trick is based on creating depths with subdued tones to maintain the natural look of the skin. In this Fashion Week, makeup artists decided to create a homogeneity in the facial structure on all the runways seen this week, accentuating only the eyebrows to intensify the gaze and highlighting the lips in a subdued manner with a tint in earthy and reddish tones.
