A NEW VISION AT CHANEL READY-TO-WEAR FALL 2026

Matthieu Blazy

Matthieu Blazy arrived at Chanel with a clear objective: to confidently introduce new silhouettes and codes to the house. In his presentation for Women’s Fashion Week Fall/Winter 2026, rigidity was set aside in favor of movement. Beyond the signature tweed, the collection stood out for its richness in textures, intricate details, and low-waisted silhouettes that position the brand as a force of contemporary relevance.

It is a reinterpretation of classic codes that, in his first ready-to-wear collection, were tested through color and are now explored through fluidity and three-dimensionality. Each garment is crafted with meticulous attention, considering its interaction with the venue, which symbolically represents a work in progress.

The first element that visually captures attention is the introduction of low-rise silhouettes, paired with belts that, rather than restricting, refine the figure. Layered designs and decorative elements—each featuring different tones and appliqués—merge with silks and tweeds that modernize Chanel’s classic silhouette, even extending into the house’s new handbags.

Chanel evolves, embellishes, and expands through diversity. This show celebrates a graphic richness expressed through colors that maintain elegance and refinement, accompanied by a runway moment that stood out on the penultimate day of Fashion Week.
