Viktor Horsting and Rolf Snoeren have done it again. The duo behind Viktor & Rolf has returned to their creative experimentation lab with their Spring/Summer 2025 Haute Couture collection, unveiled today during Paris Haute Couture Week.

The brand, known for pushing the boundaries of what can be achieved with textiles, decided to set limits for itself—but in the best possible way. The 24 looks that make up this collection are, in reality, variations of the same outfit: a brown trench coat, a white shirt, and blue trousers. Simple. Beautiful. Anything but “plain.”

With this collection, Viktor & Rolf once again prove why they reign supreme in haute couture (at least in my opinion). The concept of reinterpreting the same garments over and over again led the creative directors to explore endless ways to transform three essential pieces, complemented by Christian Louboutin footwear and jewelry from Droomfabriek Amsterdam.

At first glance, you can easily spot the three colors; however, a closer look reveals a constant repetition of a formula that at times feels theatrical, sometimes dramatic, sometimes with a historical twist, and other times with a more contemporary approach. One thing’s for sure—it’s never minimalistic or austere.

Exaggerated volumes, unexpected draping, and an exceptional use of bows make Viktor & Rolf’s Spring/Summer 2025 Haute Couture collection a stunning visual ode to the creative ability to do more with less. At the same time, according to the designers, it also serves as a human clin d’œil (wink) to the infinite possibilities offered by artificial intelligence, subtly reflected in the blurred boundaries of each garment.
