We’ve reached the peak. Day three of Milan Men’s Fashion Week is here, and among Sunday’s highlights, we must commend Tod’s for a presentation that continues to captivate. This time, the brand reaffirmed its commitment to Italy and even issued a call to its government to raise awareness about preserving the textile traditions that have propelled the nation to the top of the global industry.
Unveiled at Villa Necchi Campiglio, the collection, titled PASHMY, saw creative director Matteo Tamburini draw inspiration from the Italian lifestyle, which he described as being “characterized by contemporary elegance, impeccable quality, and a passion for well-crafted things.” The result is a series of designs that are pure and clean in their conception.
Tod’s Fall/Winter 2025-26 menswear collection serves as an homage to Bel Paese and prominent figures in design and cinema such as Giò Ponti, Vico Magistretti, and Pier Paolo Pasolini. Simultaneously, it exalts the very qualities that the world admires about Italy. In this process of nationalist pride, Tod’s also takes a moment to emphasize the importance of artisanal craftsmanship in a world where technology increasingly dominates the industry.
With Pashmy, Tod’s worked exclusively with the finest materials and classical techniques, resulting in pieces that are both durable and lightweight—evoking the feeling of wearing a pashmina, even when it comes to leather. From overshirts and coats to bags and shoes, all elements are designed to create a tactile experience for the customer, a goal that was undoubtedly achieved.
For Tamburini and the Tod’s team, this isn’t just another collection—it’s a way to spotlight the cultural legacy of Italian craftsmanship.
