LOUISE TROTTER AND HER FUTURE AT THE HELM OF BOTTEGA VENETA

Louise Trotter

It's official! Today, December 12th, we woke up to two shocking pieces of news about Bottega Veneta: the departure of Matthieu Blazy as creative director and the arrival of Louise Trotter at the helm. What does this change imply for the future of the brand and how do I think Trotter's enthusiasm and vision will benefit it?

Louise Trotter is known for leading the sophisticated brand Carven for three seasons, where she drove a new wave of excitement that lasted until the March show. Trotter's career has always been intense and full of leadership, from taking on the vice presidency of women's wear at GAP to being the first female creative director of Lacoste.

Innovation is Louise's middle name. Her fresh perspective achieved the impossible at Lacoste, elevating the brand's relevance with a bold and chic touch, always respecting its roots. That's why we expect the same for Bottega Veneta: a journey faithful to its identity, but always aiming for innovation, experimentation with techniques and silhouettes, and, why not?, a daring twist.

We are very excited to witness the future of this collaboration. And you, what destiny do you think Bottega Veneta will have?
