Have you ever had a visual obsession at first sight? Today, more specifically in the early morning, I fell deeply in love for the third time this year with XG and their new visuals for the "AWE" era. Their characteristic use of avant-garde aesthetics, using the latest trends in fashion, style, and makeup, merged with special effects that seem to come straight out of a mythological fantasy video game, creating what is expected to be their prime era.

If you don't know XG by name, surely their visuals have appeared more than once on your X or Instagram feed, as their previous single, "Woke Up," exploded due to a sequence where one of their artists, Cocona, shaved her head in one of the music video sequences while wearing an iconic design from Kowgi's Runway to Seoul 2023 collection. Since then, they have challenged, along with their producer XGALX, the traditional Japanese and Korean idol aesthetic.

This time, XG fused their edgy aesthetic with traditional Japanese mythology, posing alongside wyrms, and surprisingly, it's not what stands out the most in the portraits, as the clothes they wear create an otherworldly visual harmony.
