In July 2015, five years after the creation of Instagram and five before Brexit (unrelated to the article but useful for historical context), a young ALLA BRULETOVA would make her first post on Meta’s platform without knowing that, eight years later, a short and simple ASMR-style video would make her a sensation on social media and, by extension, all over the internet.
With a clip featuring the intricacies of a Bentley Mulsanne, this 24-year-old Virgo, former gymnast, and horseback riding enthusiast became a full-blown sensation—even though her name was already well-known in many circles. Her modeling career has taken her to the most prominent Fashion Weeks (Paris, Milan, you know the ones), the covers of top magazines worldwide, the launch of her own songs, and, on top of it all, established her as a refreshing icon in the industry, showcasing both major brands and smaller emerging labels she’s proud to help put on the map.
With sharp wit, dreamlike beauty, and boundless passion and style, Alla shows us how to embody sensual, captivating elegance under the creative eye of Jacques Burga. Burga, an editorial powerhouse, has earned his place as a master at capturing the literal and figurative light and shadow of those in front of his lens (just check out this other story from The Walk for proof).
In this tale about femininity and the latent beauty of what is (or appears) pure, Jacques and Alla take us into an intimate world that is entirely their own, pulling us into a dreamscape where artist and muse weave their magic to win us over
