Since their arrival in Mexico in 1937, the Hans family has led a brand that has transcended generations, maintaining a legacy built over decades as furriers. Today, Hanson continues to evolve, with the new generation, led by Mónica Hans, transforming the brand to meet the demands of modern luxury, expanding their offerings beyond just fur.
Hanson’s story began when Mr. Wolf Hans arrived in Mexico from Poland. “My father came from Poland in 1937. I am the fifth generation, Mónica is the sixth, and that’s how we’ve grown all this time.” The store, initially named Montreal Fine Furs, changed its name in the 1980s to better reflect its family heritage. “We changed the name to Hanson Furs because it was important for us to reflect the family legacy.”
