Patronage in the luxury industry currently demands objects whose value transcends the material to directly finance culture. Bvlgari executes this idea with precision for its second participation in the TimeForArt charity auction, scheduled for December 2026 in New York. The Roman house has delivered an absolutely unique edition of its emblematic Serpenti Seduttori Automatic, joining the biennial initiative of the Swiss Institute, in partnership with Phillips and Bacs & Russo. The premise of the event is resounding: one hundred percent of the proceeds—including buyer's premiums—will be injected directly into the contemporary art scene to support residencies, workshops, and free public exhibitions for emerging creators.

For this occasion, Bvlgari decided to literally embed its architectural heritage on the wrist, moving away from traditional chromatic variations. The central element of this 34-millimeter timepiece is its dial, meticulously carved from Verde Alpi marble. Extracted in the Aosta Valley, this natural stone establishes a direct connection with the Greco-Roman Antiquity that cements the brand's aesthetic. The marble, with its rich veins and raw texture, is masterfully contained by a flexible yellow gold bracelet and a case topped with a bezel set with 36 brilliant-cut diamonds. To seal the house's jewelry code, the crown houses a cabochon-cut green emerald.

Underneath this display of Italian design operates the absolute rigor of Swiss engineering. The watch comes to life thanks to the BVS100 Lady Solotempo mechanical caliber, an in-house automatic movement assembled in the Le Sentier workshops in the Vallée de Joux. The piece features a 50-hour power reserve, but the true mechanical luxury is reserved for the back: a transparent case back reveals an oscillating weight meticulously decorated with a snake scale pattern and the Bvlgari logo. Resting right on the crystal is the engraving "Unique Piece - TimeForArt", reminding its future owner that this reptile of gold and marble was forged exclusively to keep contemporary art in motion.
