Tiffany & Co. introduces new creations within the iconic HardWear collection, incorporating 18k gold necklaces, earrings, bracelets, and charms elevated by vibrant turquoise and luminous Akoya pearls. This release builds upon the House’s historic legacy in colored gemstones while introducing a fresh perspective to the bold line. Nathalie Verdeille, Senior Vice President and Artistic Director of Jewelry and High Jewelry, notes that creativity begins when color becomes a language, comparing each stone to a dot of light and color that creates a dynamic interaction through movement.
For nearly two centuries, Tiffany & Co. has shaped the universe of colored gemstones through rare gem acquisitions and craftsmanship. Color remains central to the brand's visual identity, drawing from historic stained-glass masterpieces to recent High Jewelry designs. This chapter takes inspiration from an archival lapis lazuli and pearl necklace famously worn by Rachel Lambert “Bunny” Mellon. Reinterpreting that historic piece, Verdeille weaves turquoise and Japanese Akoya pearls directly into the signature HardWear layout.
The palette draws influence from the intensity of Pop Art, particularly the vibrant works of Andy Warhol, contrasting vivid stones against structured 18k gold links. Rooted in an original 1962 concept, HardWear channels the spirit and energy of New York City. The addition of natural turquoise and cultured pearls brings a new dimension to the line, emphasizing the brand's ongoing conversation with individual expression and color innovation.
The expansion includes nine new designs centered on a statement necklace and matching drop earrings where turquoise beads and Akoya pearls alternate with industrial gold links. A convertible 34-inch necklace features two integrated clasps, allowing it to be worn as a long strand, a double-wrap necklace, or a short necklace combined with a bracelet. Pyramid-shaped gold domes hold each individual stone in place, while select sets incorporate larger turquoise beads set between the links. Everyday options like delicate charms and earrings adapt these same signature elements for daily wear.
Material sourcing reflects high standards of quality and sustainability. Sourced from North America and Mexico, the natural turquoise beads are carefully hand-matched to showcase a rare range of intense blue shades. The Japanese Akoya pearls, harvested through sustainable practices, deliver exceptional luster and near-perfect symmetry. The new Tiffany & Co. HardWear pieces will launch globally on Tiffany.com and in select brand boutiques in October 2026.
