THE RESURGENCE OF EGONLAB IN FALL 2026
Select Ishtar
A return to the roots. When a brand strives to meet commercial standards, does it risk losing itself? For Egonlab—founded by design partners Florentin Grémarec and Kévin Nompeix—a resurgence was necessary. One grounded in their experience as a creative atelier and fueled by experimentation with new materials and daring techniques. At Men’s Fashion Week Fall 2026, Icarus emerges as a symbol of permanence and as a source of inspiration for a new generation of emerging creatives.
Under a manifesto by Jameela Jamil, Icarus comes into the light, no longer hiding in the shadows, revealing its true nature. The designers took risks by playing with vibrant feathers, paired with sophisticated, impeccably executed tailoring. The collection exposes wounds that heal yet remain proudly visible on the skin. For this reason, most garments feature cut-outs, tears, and material contrasts.
Speaking of contrasts, the 2026 approach centers on the interplay between leather and fur. Transparencies persist, but now in a provocative rather than framing manner. Hair-like textures trace edges and printed surfaces on tops, creating the illusion of a scarf extending all the way to the ankles. Egonlab chooses to reveal less skin in order to focus more sharply on the language of the garments as statement pieces, moving beyond ornamental layering seen on other runways.
With this presentation, Egonlab teaches us to raise our voices—to refuse the industry’s complacency. Yes, each piece is aggressive on its own, charged with a sense of revolution that turns these looks into banners. What does the future hold for a brand committed to resisting commercialization? If Icarus makes anything clear, it is that witnessing this path unfold will be nothing short of remarkable.
