The dog tag image with the album title? Also cute. But the main photo for the vinyl edition has stirred up a lot of buzz among her followers.

In a bold twist on her usual “Have you ever tried this one?” pose, the “Juno” singer chose a shot where she appears in a submissive position—on all fours—while a mysterious male figure pulls her by the hair.

Nothing wrong with artistic freedom, of course. But social media, being social media, wasted no time expressing outrage over what many called a “degrading” and “embarrassing” image. Some users accused the late-night-working (because she’s a singer) performer of turning her back on women’s empowerment.

Sabrina added fuel to the fire by captioning the image with the phrase, “can’t wait to be yours,” amplifying the controversy around this… let’s call it a creative misstep—for which no photographer has yet been credited.

Naturally, there’s also plenty of excitement over the upcoming wave of Carpenter tracks. Just recently, she dropped the music video for Manchild, her latest single, cheekily clarifying: “no animals were harmed in the making [of this video], though some men were.”
