At the start of Paris Fashion Week Ready-To-Wear Fall/Winter 2025-26, design duo Bryn Taubensee and Patric DiCaprio were asked, "How oversized do you want the clothes?" and they replied, "Yes." In their third presentation in the French capital, their brand, Vaquera, seeks to break ground in the avant-garde with a collection that continues their journey of self-exploration and consolidation of their identity.
After a successful collaboration at Milan Fashion Week with Dsquared2, Vaquera showcases their New York origins with subtle Parisian touches. Their priority became creating garments that straddle the line between outlandish and commercial, featuring their signature prints (now with a Warhol-esque Marilyn Monroe), ruffles, and balloon-style skirts.
Why does Vaquera's name appear in every trend? A quick glance at the collection reveals why. A top consisting of a giant bra, with its left half trailing on the floor, and, because everyone loves pearls, an exaggerated necklace stretching from neck to ankles, created a showstopper moment that's sure to be seen in many editorials.
The duo is in the process of transitioning and relocating to Paris. Their strength lies in the boldness of their garments and how easily they can be incorporated into a daily style full of personality. This collection follows the trends of fur coats and overlayering, but maintains an edge that only Vaquera can bring. This marks the beginning of chapter 2 of their story.
