SAINT LAURENT, under the creative direction of Anthony Vaccarello, continues to diversify and explore new artistic realms. This time, just in time for Valentine’s Day (more or less), the brand presents, under its SAINT LAURENT EDITIONS label, the book “Love Letters,” a volume that delves into the “intimate nature of personal correspondence.”
Being a brand that in recent years has ventured into experimental territory, Saint Laurent couldn’t just release a text like any other. Instead, it offers a unique sensory experience divided into several parts and spaces. Inside “Love Letters,” we find a QR code that leads us to a platform where personalities such as Charlotte Gainsbourg and Vassili Schneider lend their voices to bring the letters included in this special edition text to life.
The Saint Laurent Editions book includes historical letters between lovers from all eras: Virginia Woolf and Vita Sackville-West, Mozart and his wife Vienna, or poet Arthur Rimbaud and Paul Verlaine. These love stories are complemented by visuals from Mitch Ryan; videos starring Zoë Kravitz, Rosé, and Cooper Koch that explore the romantic sides of Sid Vicious and Nancy Spungen, Oscar Wilde and Lord Alfred Douglas, and Leo Tolstoy and Valeria Arsenev.
The 360 launch of “Love Letters” is also accompanied by a vinyl with a song from Metronomy and two additional readings by Rosé (BLACKPINK fans, this is your moment). The entire romantic package is now available, and it’s worth mentioning that select locations (SAINT LAURENT RIVE DROITE in Los Angeles, SAINT LAURENT BABYLONE in Paris, the brand’s flagship store in Seoul, and its boutique in New York’s Meatpacking District) will feature phone booths where you can listen to the narrations.
