Another year goes by, and with it, the resurgence of many creative minds and collaborations that blew our minds. It was definitely a great year for fashion, enough to raise our expectations for 2025 and dream of a future with bigger and better trends, as well as bold artistic exploration within each upcoming collection.

That's why, in my eagerness to manifest a new year full of jaw-dropping moments, I'm sharing my fashion predictions for 2025.

1. More from Rei Kawakubo: In this year's ready-to-wear collection, the designer showcased her anger in black, with characteristic volumes and experimental use of fabrics. In 2025, I would love for the world to see beyond her classic collections and be able to glimpse the innovation and silhouettes they present, so that she can remain as relevant as the icon she is.
2. The Future of John Galliano: I've read about the intrigue surrounding Galliano's future. However, I don't think he'll return to Dior. I'd like to see the designer's classic and cultural touch on garments whose direction is 100% his. We've seen what he's capable of, and we're ready to see more.
3. Bottega Veneta taking over ready-to-wear: We saw it last year in the asymmetry of pants and the cuts in men's tops. This year, under the direction of Louise Trotter, the brand will undergo a transformation, elevating the brand's classic identity with a contemporary and daring touch, illuminating both the runway and streetwear.
4. Dilara Findikoglu being the icon she is: The most daring pieces, saturated with textures, prints, but still retaining melancholy. Dilara's collections always generate a lot of buzz due to their saturation, and in a future of DIYs and custom-made, she will reign as the innovative and daring mind that she is. What will she propose to us in this new turn around the sun?
5. Simone Rocha redefining romantic charm: As we saw with Jean Paul Gaultier, the accessories and corsetry details not only evoked the designer's old charm but also referenced Rocha's very established aesthetic, catapulting her into the fashion world. I see berets even more present and her characteristic bows on many runways.
6. A new awakening: A new mind, far from references, extravagant volumes, and cyber-futuristic concepts. When Iris van Herpen arrived, she opened up possibilities in materials, techniques, and movement incorporated into dresses. This year will be the year of fusions: mechanics and textiles, robotics and footwear... The possibilities are endless. I'm dying to see what mind will make us spin in 2025.
