6 NEW YEAR'S TRADITIONS I'LL DEFINITELY BE DOING
Select Ishtar
Hey Walkers! New Year's is just around the corner, the perfect time to reflect and determine what you want to achieve in the coming year. Strong relationships, mental health, financial stability, and glow-ups are just some of the things we desire. I know it's tough, so I called my grandma for her best New Year's rituals.
Here are the ones I'll definitely be doing, even if my 2010-born nephews give me weird looks:
- Lentils in your wallet. Prosperity is within reach of your kitchen. Grab three handfuls and toss them in the air at midnight. The lentils' connection to the earth will help your financial connections flow better. Then, collect what you've tossed and put it in your wallet or a special pouch so you don't run out of money all year.
- The suitcase. Time to show off those steel calves to all your neighbors. Running with a suitcase to attract travel symbolizes two things: a lot of cultural experience and good physical condition to explore the world. May the only thing missing be time!
- Throwing water. Please use recycled water. With a small container, you'll throw the water out the window to ward off bad energy.
- Under the table. It's not a drill, it's desperation. If you want to get married, it's recommended that you spend the 12 chimes under the table. The next thing you'll hear is the wedding march or your distant aunt asking if you have a boyfriend yet.
- New year, new outfit. At The Walk, we breathe fashion, so we believe the best way to welcome 2025 is by looking like Tyra Banks when she confronted Naomi Campbell: impeccable, in charge of your own decisions, and with a renewed closet. Apply the "new year, new me" with a completely new outfit and attract a complete renewal.
- The trends of the coming year are related to the color of the year, mocha mousse, oversized bags, berets, and oversized cuts, so you have a lot to play with. If you need help, you can send us a message on Instagram: @thewalk.com.mx
- Select Day. This is a new tip I've been applying for the past 5 years. The first song you hear will be important and you should choose one that represents a change, a longing, or a desire. Listen to it alone and don't let it be random or get carried away by your neighbors' dance music. Keep it for yourself and let it accompany you in this new cycle.
My task will be to figure out how to be under the table while throwing lentils and running with a suitcase at the same time. If you're not greedy, choose what you want most and have an amazing time, you deserve it! The Walk wishes you a prosperous New Year.
